A professional looking site draws more attention than lots of flicker, flash and lipstick. If you use advertising it should be contextual. Advertising that is contextual will draw your hungry readers more and can be a good source of revenue if used wisely. Depending which audience you target depends on how your site will look and feel.
Every marketers objective is to eventually make money from the work that they do. This definitely takes time and effort and it all starts with traffic and communication.
