Publish Pictures on your Site
Two tests on http://yorgoo.com/blog
For tonight’s webmaster training we are testing two image galleries, the Flickr Gallery and the Semiomantics Gallery. In the right sidebar of this site you can see some samples.
The Flickr Gallery works fine whereas there are two things that are not to my taste: First the Flickr Link and second the fact that you cannot modify the sizes.
The free Flickr tool is however a popular, easy to use tool and therefore ideal for a popular website.
The Semiomantics internal Gallery: the huge advantage is that you control your pictures. The display can be in html or flash and you may apply any watermark you wish, either in text format or as an image.
The Semiomantics solution is less userfriendly but more professional. Both solutions are interesting and Google-friendly.
We will show the differences in our online call next Tuesday when we will start working on our new Ycademy sites.
